Through the making of a fashion show, the director explores her unlikely inheritance of several 1950s prêt-à-porter collections, left to her by her mysterious great aunt Anneliese: a disillusioned supporter of the National Socialist Party of Germany and founder of a fashion empire that opened its doors to women in need of shelter, and those keen to escape financial dependency.
